Preccelerator® Program Announces Demo Day for Its Fifth Class of Companies

Digital Media Thought Leader Peter Csathy to be Keynote Speaker on Media 2.0(17) at the Preccelerator® Demo Day Event

The Preccelerator® Program, a Santa Monica, CA based accelerator program for early stage startup companies in all sectors, announced today that it will be holding its Class 5 Demo Day on May 18, 2017 where four promising startups will present their ideas to the investment and entrepreneurial community.

In addition, the evening will feature digital media expert Peter Csathy discussing his new book “Media 2.0(17).” In the book, Peter identifies today’s digital media leaders, identifies their strengths and risks, and names his “Fearless Five” companies that made the boldest moves in 2016.  Csathy also lays out a detailed roadmap of where the digital media world is going in 2017 and beyond via his renown “Top 10” predictions and identifies concrete strategies and actions to immediately leverage the power of Media 2.0. Csathy is a member of the Board of the Preccelerator program.

Stubbs Alderton & Markiles launched the first-of-its kind Preccelerator® Program to provide select start-ups with co-working space, mentorship, sophisticated legal services, and access to a strategic perks portfolio with the objective of helping grow a founder’s idea from business concept to a funded company. Preccelerator® Program Alumni Company Simplifeye Raises $3M and Partners with Henry Schein

Simplifeye Preccelerator Program alumni company, Simplifeye Inc, a provider of SaaS platform for medical offices that connects wearables, like the Apple Watch, to existing health record software, announced that it has raised $3 million in funding. Investors in this round include SoftTech VC, First Round Capital and Felicis Ventures, as well as Semil Shah’s Haystack Fund, Joe Montana’s Liquid 2 Ventures and angels Wiley Cerilli and Ariel Poler. Simplifeye will also be teaming up with Henry Schein, a major distributor of healthcare products and services. Congratulations to Simplifeye on this success!

Founder of Preccelerator® Program Company Voter Acqui-hired by Brigade

Voter Hunter Scarborough, CEO of Preccelerator® Program company Voter, announced this week that Brigade, a civic engagement and activism platform, has brought him on as an acqui-hire.   Brigade hasn’t purchased Scarborough’s company or assets and there are plans to shutter Voter later this year. Scarborough will work on the product team to create tools that’ll enable citizens to become more active in local and state elections.

“I’m thrilled to be joining an such a talented and experienced team tackling some the same problems we were at Voter. We’ll be sunsetting Voter in 2017, but its spirit and mission will live on at Brigade,” Scarborough said in a statement.

Voter is matchmaking for politics, it analyzes exorbitant amounts of data, including public stances, voting records, speeches, and more. All users have to do is answer a few simple questions about their political opinions. Swipe through issues quickly. Need more info about a question? Tap the card to get more information, including bullet points for and against. The app displays users match score as a percentage, describing how closely their views align with each candidate. On Election Day they’ll tell users where to vote, when to be there, and what to bring.
