Tracy has deep experience as a founder, startup operator, and early-stage VC investor.
He was an early employee at a venture-backed, consumer-technology startup in San Francisco called Bloomspot. He joined the team shortly after their Series A raise to help them scale, downsize, pivot, scale again, and successfully exit (acquired by JP Morgan Chase).
Tracy then joined a Sunnyvale based location-technology startup called NextNav who went on to raise C, D, and later-stage rounds (NEA, Oak Investment Partners, Goldman Sachs, Columbia Capital, among other institutional investors). While at NextNav, in addition to focusing on corporate development and strategy, he led cross-functional teams of engineers and operators to develop indoor location services for mobile devices.
Tracy is a recent MBA graduate from the full-time program at the USC Marshall School of Business. While getting his MBA, he was President of the Entrepreneur and Venture Management Association, worked for Macro Ventures, PLG Ventures, and the USC Marshall Venture Fund as an MBA venture associate.
Tracy currently lives in Santa Monica, consults for and advises early-stage startups, and is an active member of the Silicon Beach community.
