In his early career, Marcelin was part of Roc-A-Fella Records. He then went on to become a partner with Enigma Records, the subsidiary to Virgin Records, which housed some of the the biggest artists and producers in the music business.

Over the years, Marcelin has devoted much of his time to researching new media platforms. Marcelin became co-owner of Swagger Wireless – a company known for their partnerships with T-Mobile, AT&T and Jamster, as well as their content development for mobile carriers in the U.S. and Europe, with a focus on musical content. Marcelin later became Vice President of the media company, Voxonic. Their proprietary software allows you to replicate and transform any person’s voice into another language. Marcelin was also instrumental in releasing original music though mobile devices and talent management for their voice models.

His role took him into the Democratic Republic of Congo for three years, where he launched a music based reality show called Superstar, under the mobile carrier Vodacom. It was the first show of its kind in the country where viewers utilized mobile phones to vote for contestants, much like American Idol and The Voice.

Marcelin secured a music licensing deal with HTC, which saw 10M headsets preloaded with content he provided to the OEM. In recent years, Marcelin has strategically worked with PureSolo, a London based app developer and other tech companies looking to expand their content catalogue and market reach. A few apps developed under PureSolo, include: The Annie app, Sing with The King Elvis and the Art of Rap.
