JD’s practice focuses on creating IP assets for investor rounds, patent
prosecution, strategic counseling, and intellectual property counseling

JD has advised over 50 start-up companies on IP strategy and provides
special introductory pricing for provisional patent applications and
counseling. Many of his companies have credited JD for making them

JD has more than 25 years of experience in patent prosecution, as well
as trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, patent infringement analyses,
patent validity studies, and intellectual property transactions. His
background is in electrical engineering, materials science, and
computer software. He possesses extensive technical knowledge of
data transmission, permission based file sharing, encryption,
compression, software patents, Internet patents, business method
patents, telecommunications, blockchain technology, mobile apps, and
computer architecture. He has lectured on intellectual property matters
on four continents.
